JDR Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Fire & Safety Project Manager to join their team in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity to lead on fire safety and compliance projects, ensuring the highest standards across multiple sites. The role will involve minor travel between sites.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver fire safety and compliance projects from start to finish
- Ensure all projects meet current legislation, codes of practice, and internal standards
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate works
- Maintain project documentation, reporting, and progress updates
- Monitor budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Provide expert advice on fire safety systems, equipment, and procedures
- Ensure health & safety compliance is maintained across all projects
- Travel to sites as required (minor travel)
About You
- Proven experience in fire safety management or project management within a safety-critical environment
- Strong knowledge of fire regulations, compliance standards, and risk assessments
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently
- Relevant fire safety or project management qualifications desirable
