We are looking for Slaughter Operatives. Immediate starts available. £12.40 – £16.46 per hour depending on experience; overtime at time and a half after 48 hours. Location: Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil. Shift: Monday to Friday, 05:30/06:00 finish, average 45‑hour week. Temp to perm after 12 weeks.
The Role

Responsibilities
- Slaughtering, dressing and preparation of carcasses and edible offal at line speed.
- Handling and processing carcasses with care and precision.
- Supporting skilled operatives in the production process.

- Following strict health, safety and animal welfare guidelines.
Qualifications
- Competence and significant experience in slaughter and/or knife skills preferred.
- Previous experience in a high‑volume meat processing environment.
- Commitment to good practice and quality.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Own transport due to location of site.
