JDR Recruitment are hiring on behalf of our client based in Haydock, St Helens.
Position
Customs Clearance Clerk (12 month maternity cover with a view to permanent).
Location
Haydock, St Helens WA11
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm
Salary
£27,000 per annum
Responsibilities
- Preparation of Customs reports for Customers.
- Preparation of Customs Declarations using Trader Support Service (TSS).
- Preparation of Export and Import Documentation on CDS for EU Shipments.
- Completion of GMRs using Goods Vehicle Movement Service (GVMS).
- Completion of Supplementary Declarations using Trader Support Service (TSS).
- Liaise with HMRC directly regarding Import/Export issues.
- Maintain and update internal systems to support the movement of goods.
- Ensure accurate and timely lodgement of Customs documentation.
- Liaise with 3rd Party Agents to obtain Customs Clearances.
Skills / Requirements
- Minimum 12 months experience in customs procedures both Import and Export.
- Able to work toward and meet deadlines.
- Computer literate.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Possess team player qualities.
- A proactive attitude.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Salary & Benefits
£27,000 per annum
- 28 days of annual leave (incl. bank holidays).
- Discretionary performance bonus of up to 10% of the annual salary.
- Company pension scheme.
