JDR Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced and organised Warehouse Storeman to join our client’s busy team based in Cardiff. This is a great opportunity to join a well‑established company offering long‑term stability, training, and progression.
The Role
- Receiving Goods: Checking and verifying incoming deliveries against purchase orders; safely unloading goods; reporting any discrepancies or damage.
- Storage & Inventory Management: Storing materials in designated areas; maintaining accurate stock records using Microsoft Office and warehouse systems; completing regular stock checks and audits.
- Order Fulfilment: Picking and packing orders accurately to picking lists; preparing items for dispatch, including secure packaging and labelling.
- Warehouse Upkeep: Ensuring the warehouse is clean, organised, and compliant with H&S regulations; reporting hazards, shortages, or issues.
- Documentation & Systems: Updating inventory and movement records; using Microsoft Office and warehouse software for reporting; supporting the rollout of a new bespoke stock control system (full training provided).
- Customer Service: Assisting with stock enquiries; helping resolve order or inventory discrepancies.
About You
- Experience managing high‑value and fast‑moving warehouse stores (essential).
- Strong IT skills, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Works accurately and independently.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach.
- Physically capable of lifting/moving items and standing for long periods.
- Strong awareness of health & safety.
- Brings a continuous‑improvement mindset.
- Industry experience preferred but not essential.
