JDR are looking for a stock control clerk for a busy manufacturing site based in Birkenhead. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a varied role where no 2 days are the same.
Location: Preston PR1
Salary: up to £29,700 per annum
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8AM Until 5PM and Friday 8AM to 12.30PM
Contract type: Permanent
What The Role Looks Like
- Works orders process - Post production of works order to include issuing of actual stock used and booking of finished goods and allocation of stock.
- Focus on FIFO and batch rotation.
- Generate metrics and reporting pack for the count performance.
- Complete and record accurate cycle counts on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Accurately manage the inventory in the MRB/Quarantine, ensuring this is healthy and reviewed on a regular basis by the MRB team.
- Be responsible for ensuring that slow-moving stock is considered, and damaged stock investigated, FIFO/rotation is applied accurately with locations maintained and system accuracy at 100%.
- Be proactive and engaged with the development and launch of the WMS.
- Where required raise despatch notes on Sage and Commercial invoices.
- Check all selling prices / supplements on Sales invoices held on Sage.
- Add to invoices as required.
- Issue Sales invoices once goods have been despatched and pass to Sales Ledger for actioning.
- Where applicable scan and email invoices to customers.
- Advise Stock Control administrator when conversions are required on Sage, converting chemical weights where appropriate.
- Answer telephone, manage reception and visitors as required.
- Create reports (through report designer) on Sage as required.
- Assist in the despatch of vehicles, to include booking finished goods, raising paperwork including commercial invoices from SAGE.

- Someone who has previous experience within a stock control capacity, preferably within a manufacturing client.
- Someone who has experience using Sage200.
- Someone organised, who can prioritise their own workload and works well unsupervised.
- Someone who has a drive and is punctual.
