Project Officer – Children\’s Services

Location: Barnsley, hybrid working.
Salary: £18.35 per hour – paid weekly initially. Temporary with potential to become permanent.

We are seeking an experienced children\’s services project officer to work in our Early Start and Families Service. Duties will include working in several areas within the service including family hubs and early years childcare.

What You\’ll Be Doing

• Assist with project management, co‑ordinating resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Ensure that projects are effectively planned and managed within a formal programme and project management framework.
• Provide advice and guidance in relation to projects.
• Ensure that key milestones and information are communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in performance management and data analysis, promoting quality practice and service delivery, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations.

What We\’re Looking For

• Relevant project/programme management training/qualifications, or previous experience within a similar role.
• Experience of supporting the delivery of projects to fruition.
• Experience of utilising project management methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills to present information to stakeholders.
• Knowledge of working in a children\’s services environment is desirable.
