Due to a recent restructure, we are excited to announce that we are recruiting for a newly created role of Service Manager, Renewables. The key purpose of this role is to manage the effective execution of offshore Renewables Service contracts. The position involves providing input at the bid stage, followed by the management of orders from the point of sales handover through to contractual delivery, ensuring Renewable projects are completed in accordance with the schedule and to budget.
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Oversee the execution of renewables related service projects, including liaising with the JDR project manager to ensure continuity between service and supply contracts as well as clients and/or their nominated representative to ensure the cost effective and timely delivery of renewable project scopes.
- Support the project managers with commercial and contractual risks assessments for each renewable service project, as required, and manages project execution to protect the company’s financial, contractual, and technical exposure.
- Manage project operational deliverables smoothly and effectively to meet customer requirements and the Company’s revenue and cash flow requirements.
- Co-ordinate with the Finance team and project managers to ensure assigned renewable project scopes are properly structured in the ERP system and that project costs are accurately recorded.
- Identifies and communicates customer changes and additions to the project managers in support of JDR’s Variation Order (VOR) management system ensuring that colleagues are aware of these changes so that the project continues to be executed smoothly and effectively.
- Contributes to the development and delivery of the Services strategy including revenue growth of the Service team, the identification and development of new opportunities, and implementing lessons learned and continuous improvement.
- Provide line management for the renewable service team to plan, control, and co-ordinate all project activities to meet customer requirements as efficiently and effectively as possible.
- Identifies opportunities for automation and standardisation to optimise working processes and support continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have experience within the Renewable industry within the Operations function, holding experience of working within the offshore cable pull-in, terminations and testing environment. It is vital that the post holder is highly organised, with the ability to prioritise multiple high-level tasks to ensure that all project deliverables are met on time. The role will involve managing multiple projects. The candidate will be both commercially and delivery focussed with a drive for achievement. The ideal candidate will be degree educated within a technical subject or have previous experience within a technical role.
