JDR Cable Systems are delighted to be recruiting for an HSE Facilities Administrator based at our brand new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Cambois, Blyth. As we continue to grow and develop our facilities, the need for robust, well-managed health and safety administration has never been more important. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that values safe working practices, and to play a central role in keeping our sites compliant, organised, and audit-ready.

The HSE Facilities Administrator will report to the Lead HSE Advisor and will be responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support across the HSE and facilities functions. The primary focus of the role is the control and monitoring of the site permit to work (PTW) system, ensuring that permits are correctly issued, recorded, monitored and closed in line with established safety procedures. Alongside this, the role holder will support site inductions, contractor audits, and the management of site facilities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Administering and controlling the site permit to work system on a daily basis, issuing, monitoring and closing permits in accordance with safety procedures
  • Maintaining accurate, audit-ready records within the PTW management system
  • Verifying that all permit documentation is correctly completed before work commences
  • Conducting daily site walk-arounds to confirm that active permits are in place and work is being carried out in line with documentation
  • Reporting and escalating any non-compliance or safety concerns to site management
  • Conducting and recording site inductions for new personnel
  • Ensuring contractors hold current insurances and the correct qualifications for the work required, maintaining accurate records
  • Controlling HSE documentation including TH!NK Cards, Waste Transfer Notes, Toolbox Briefs, and facilities/HSE ordering and invoicing

A NEBOSH General Certificate and/or experience within a contractor or facilities management environment would be advantageous, as would a working knowledge of health and safety procedures and compliance. This role would suit someone at the beginning of their career in health and safety. It is crucial that the post holder possesses excellent organisational skills and a strong eye for detail. You will be confident managing digital records and document management systems, and proficient in Microsoft Office.
