JDR Cable Systems is recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector to join our growing Quality team at our Blyth manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality of products manufactured, inspected, tested and terminated at our Blyth site. Working closely with production, engineering and project teams, you will help ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and fully comply with client specifications and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor production processes using Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and manufacturing documentation to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Verify and sign off start-up and in-process production documentation to ensure key parameters are achieved.
- Support and facilitate NCR, ITQ and DCR processes, including Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), in line with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Inspect and test supplied parts to ensure they comply with JDR purchase specifications and technical drawings.
- Review supplier documentation against Supplier Documentation Requirements and support project quality activities when required.
- Assist with root cause analysis to identify and eliminate the causes of non-conformities.
- Develop and maintain visual management tools to improve clarity and efficiency across quality processes.
- Support administration of Quality Management System (QMS) documentation to maintain ISO 9001 compliance.
- Liaise with Production and other departments to support customer delivery targets.
- Compile and issue production travel packs and maintain updates throughout the manufacturing process.
- Attend departmental meetings and support the reporting of testing deliverables and quality KPIs.
- Participate in the Th!nk Safety and Th!nk Quality programmes.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards at all times.

- Previous experience in a Quality Control or Inspection role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings and inspection/test plans.
- Understanding of quality control principles and international standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A self-motivated and organised approach with the ability to work independently.
- Experience working within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Strong practical and manual skills.
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
