JDP is seeking a Trainee Technical Support Assistant to join our Civils & Drainage Technical Support team. This is an excellent entry‑level opportunity for someone looking to build a long‑term technical career within a stable, growing organisation that strongly supports training and progression. You’ll work alongside experienced team members, gaining hands‑on experience in drainage take‑offs, technical documentation, and system design. Full training will be provided, with progression to Technical Support Assistant expected within 18–24 months, subject to performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with drainage take‑offs using Active Take Off software
  • Prepare manhole schedules and supporting documentation
  • Maintain accurate technical records
  • Respond to phone and email enquiries from branches and customers
  • Liaise with suppliers for quotations and product information
  • Attend internal meetings and supplier training

Candidate Requirements

  • GCSEs (A–C) in Maths, English & Science (or equivalent)
  • A‑levels (or equivalent)
  • Basic AutoCAD knowledge
  • Full UK driving licence
  • No previous industry experience required – just enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to learn.
