Are you highly organised, detail-oriented and passionate about keeping things running smoothly? At JDP, we're looking for a proactive Stock Controller to join our Supply Chain team and play a vital role in ensuring our branches have the right stock, in the right place, at the right time. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building strong relationships, analysing data and making a real impact on business performance.

The Stock Control team acts as an internal supplier to our branches and a customer to our suppliers. Our focus is simple: ensuring stock is available to meet customer demand while maintaining optimum stock levels in line with company purchasing policies. As a Stock Controller, you'll be responsible for managing stock replenishment activities, maintaining accurate records and supporting the efficient movement of stock throughout the business.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing Slim4 stock replenishment activities to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Processing branch and supplier orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinating and actioning internal stock transfers between branches.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and system information.
  • Reporting on stock checks, analysing results and identifying discrepancies.
  • Managing and controlling slow-moving and excess stock.
  • Responding to branch and supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Working closely with colleagues across Supply Chain, sharing product, supplier and market knowledge.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to team objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Has excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Possesses strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Can work independently and use their own initiative.
  • Builds positive working relationships with colleagues, branches and suppliers.
  • Enjoys problem solving and analysing data.
  • Is comfortable working in a demanding, fast-paced and target-driven environment.
  • Has strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, supply chain, purchasing or administration would be advantageous, but attitude, aptitude and a willingness to learn are equally important.
