Painter & Decorator – Social Housing Refurbishments
JDL Contractors Ltd is a growing contractor specialising in social housing refurbishment projects, with a strong focus on kitchen and bathroom refurbishments. Due to continued workload, we are looking to recruit an experienced Painter & Decorator to join our team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Painting and decorating works within occupied and void social housing properties
- Preparing surfaces including sanding, filling, caulking, and making good
- Applying emulsion, gloss, satin, and other decorative finishes to walls, ceilings and woodwork
- Carrying out redecoration works following kitchen and bathroom installations
- Ensuring a high-quality finish in line with client specifications
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
- Working to high standards of safety, quality, and customer care
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent experience)
- Valid CSCS card
- Previous experience in social housing or domestic refurbishment
- Ability to complete works independently and to a high standard
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude when dealing with tenants
