Painter & Decorator – Social Housing Refurbishments

JDL Contractors Ltd is a growing contractor specialising in social housing refurbishment projects, with a strong focus on kitchen and bathroom refurbishments. Due to continued workload, we are looking to recruit an experienced Painter & Decorator to join our team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Painting and decorating works within occupied and void social housing properties
  • Preparing surfaces including sanding, filling, caulking, and making good
  • Applying emulsion, gloss, satin, and other decorative finishes to walls, ceilings and woodwork
  • Carrying out redecoration works following kitchen and bathroom installations
  • Ensuring a high-quality finish in line with client specifications
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment
  • Working to high standards of safety, quality, and customer care

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent experience)
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Previous experience in social housing or domestic refurbishment
  • Ability to complete works independently and to a high standard
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude when dealing with tenants
