The predicted salary is between 17 - 23 £ per hour.
This role requires a team player with flair and commercial ability, and the skill, energy and determination to help drive and develop the business alongside the General Manager. We are looking for a manager with experience of maintaining and developing the standards and reputation, whilst nurturing a growing membership base and team.
Responsibilities
- Operational running of the gym at all times, opening and closing the site when required.
- Work early in the morning, late weekdays, and weekends.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
- Adhere to and maintain the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks. Report and chase all defects to ensure the building and its equipment are safe to use.
- Work towards and aim to achieve all sales and membership targets that are set.
- Drive and maximise secondary spend revenue.
- Ensure the whole of the gym facility is of the highest standard of cleanliness, maintaining outside of the contract cleaning hours.
- Ensure the in-house cleaners (General Assistant) are cleaning to the highest standard.
- Ensure uniform standards are being adhered to by all team members and yourself.
- Create an environment where the team and contracted personnel enjoy themselves whilst at work.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties, projects or meetings that may be required.
- Always be an ambassador of JD Gyms.
Skills and Experience
- Experience, ideally in a management position within a leisure related industry.
- Passion for customer service and an inspirational leadership style.
- Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
- Experience driving sales and coordinating local marketing activity as well as managing a successful team.
- Experience as an Assistant Manager overseeing all business areas within a leisure facility or substantial experience as a Fitness Manager or similar operational function.
