We are looking for a passionate Head of People to take this brand new, high impact role in the business with a clear objective: to make them the best employer in the UK! With ambitious further global expansion plans, this is a key hire to their continued growth and will future proof the business and set up its people for long term success.

Collaborating closely with the Founders and SLT, you will take a pivotal role in driving the end-to-end People agenda. Leveraging your expertise within high-growth and dynamic startup/scaleup settings, you will craft a world-class EVP to attract and retain top talent, and cultivate a high-performance culture and an environment where people live and breathe the core values of the brand.

What You’ll Do:

  • Streamline recruitment, collaborate with leadership to build a top talent funnel, and refine the recruitment framework for cost efficiency.
  • Enhance onboarding for seamless integration into the company culture, ensuring an amazing experience from day one.
  • Integrate client values globally, fostering adherence and recognising behaviours contributing to organisational success.
  • Support employee development through training and process improvement.
  • Optimise employee benefits.
  • Evaluate and improve people processes, including management practices and DEI initiatives.
  • Embed processes and policies throughout the employee lifecycle to contribute to building a world-class organisation.
  • Collaborate with founders and the senior team to shape the employer brand, solidifying its reputation as an excellent workplace and fostering an industry-leading employee experience to attract and retain top talent.

About You:

  • Proven HR generalist who is able to be proactive, think ahead and future proof an organisation for scale.
  • Experience creating and driving the People agenda in high growth FMCG or tech start-up companies that have scaled - seen the successes and have the battle scars too!
  • Experience partnering closely with SLT’s, providing leadership and direction on business decision-making, people management, problem solving and performance management.
  • Proven success meeting exceptionally high commercial standards in a high volume, fast-paced, hands-on, agile environment.
  • Experience understanding business goals and recommending new ways of working to drive continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of future-proofed people practices.
  • Experience creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention and reward programs, and depth of expertise in organisational design.
  • Proven knowledge and practical application of HR practices and employment laws.
  • Growth mindset and experience driving a high-performance culture - encouraging employees to continuously learn and develop.
  • Comfortable with a complex changing work environment and thinking outside the box even in highly pressured situations.
  • Hands-on, roll your sleeves up mentality and ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employee, ensuring a high level of employee engagement.
  • Comfortable encouraging debate and brave enough to try new things.
  • High energy, personable and confident.
