About Your Program
You’ll be joining the JD Young (JDY) Internship Program, designed to give early-career talent hands-on exposure to real projects, real responsibilities, and real growth. Over 3–6 months, you’ll work alongside experienced teams, build fundamental skills, and gain insights into how a global business operates.
Alongside mentorship and learning experiences your day to day role will cover responsibilities such as:
- Partner with category managers, suppliers, and vendors to manage demand forecasts, stock levels, budgets, and lead times across products.
- Develop and maintain SKU-level forecasting models and tools to drive accurate demand planning.
- Monitor and analyse sales trends, promotional activity, and seasonal factors to improve forecast accuracy.
- Support the Supply Chain team in implementing best practices for inventory management, leveraging new tools and processes.
- Track and report on KPIs including fulfilment rates, availability, stockholding, and inventory quality through standardised weekly reports.
- Identify risks and opportunities in the supply chain, proposing proactive solutions to minimise stockouts and overstocks.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, ideally within the FMCG sector in the UK is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL, VBA, Python, or other analytical tools a plus.
- Proven ability to work with complex data sets and translate insights into actionable supply chain strategies.
- Track record of driving process improvements, implementing systems, or managing change initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
