Assistant Security Controller

Responsible to: Security Operations Centre Manager

Department: Profit and Asset Protection

Hours: 2 days 2 nights 4 off – 6:30am – 7pm & 6:30pm – 7am

Location: Kingsway Distribution Centre, Michael Faraday Avenue Milnrow, Rochdale, OL16 4FW

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • To deal with alarm activations efficiently and update the relevant stakeholders
  • To ensure that all procedures in relation to the SOC are followed and escalated where necessary
  • To liaise with the Police/fire in relation to alarm activations
  • To use Technical Knowledge to assist with intruder alarm setting and activations
  • To update Key holders and ensure checks are made to confirm identity
  • To monitor CCTV in stores and report issues to the relevant manager
  • To prepare and send nightly reports on issues
  • To identify faults and escalate to Security Tech recording the incident number
  • To adhere to all company policies and ensure you are working within health and safety guidelines
  • To carry out weekly checks as per the schedule
  • To be professional and courteous at all times
  • To undertake any other reasonable activities in line with the needs of the business
  • To help train new recruits
  • To produce footage for the group as requested and ensure compliance with GDPR
