Role Overview
Act as the first professional point of contact for all colleagues, visitors and contractors entering Kingsway DC. Managed by DC Profit & Asset Protection Manager.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Security Reception desk clean, tidy and manned.
- Log all visitors/contractors correctly into the site.
- Monitor and ensure correct operation of the existing CCTV system.
- Ensure all security equipment is in proper use.
- Verify staff identification and enrol them into access systems, maintaining records.
- Prevent unauthorised access within the Kingsway Site.
- Control vehicle entry, ensuring correct parking and logging.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of daily duties.
- Review CCTV evidence when necessary.
- Complete site audits as directed by DC Profit & Asset Protection Manager.
- Maintain strict controls on keys and access cards, logging sign‑in/out.
- Maintain confidentiality of all business information.
- Support security teams and assist with enquiries and investigations.
- Complete ad‑hoc tasks directed by the DC Profit & Asset Protection Manager.
Skills / Experience / Knowledge
- Ability to handle a variety of calls and signpost correctly and timely.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Outlook).
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
