Responsible to: Returns Management
Department: Group Profit & Asset Protection
Location: Rochdale Warehouse
Role Overview: The role involves processing all types of Store & Supplier returns end-to-end according to company procedures, investigating warehouse adjustments, and conducting stock checks to maximize accuracy and stock availability. You will ensure adherence to all company standards and procedures.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Unload, breakdown, and locate inbound retail returns from internal and external sources.
- Meet departmental KPIs.
- Process all retail/internet return types across the group.
- Report quality or product issues to management.
- Complete returns documentation and liaise with suppliers via email and phone.
- Maintain logs of pending return consignments.
- Sort, grade, and up-cycle selected stock types.
- Support colleague development and personal growth.
- Coordinate with operational functions within the DC for stock and return processing and storage.
- Analyze adjustments and provide feedback.
- Investigate stock movements to ensure accurate location and quantity records.
- Perform other ad hoc tasks as directed by your line manager.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with Shogun/WMS preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills for documentation and record keeping.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Teamwork and self-motivation.
- Good communication across all staff levels.
