Role Overview
As a key member of our Engagement and Culture team, our People Experience Advisor will support, advise, co-ordinate, plan projects, attend events and lead Colleague engagement for all initiatives managed by the wider culture team. Engage with community networks to ensure they are part of the planning process for relevant events and colleagues' voices are heard. Maintain and build a strong stakeholder network across the business.
Role/Responsibilities
- Take part in the planning and delivery of internal events designed to engage and motivate colleagues in the workplace, focusing primarily on the Distribution Centre and Customer Care with a strong link to the wider Group team.
- Drive workforce engagement to support an inclusive and ever-evolving workplace.
- Work alongside our in-house communication team to generate people-centric content which supports workforce engagement, ensuring campaigns and activities are shared in an engaging and relevant way for our diverse workforce.
- Support with the organisation and delivery of employability events/activities in partnership with JD Foundation charities and wider People team, i.e., JDUP, helping raise the aspirations of young people.
- Co-ordinate the organisation and delivery of engagement activities, including the purchasing of equipment and liaising with suppliers.
- Lead the ROI evolution of engagement activities, ensuring learnings are taken, reviewed, and fed into future opportunities.
- Be able to confidently and effectively communicate with departmental leads, Kingsway-based leadership and engagement representatives to ensure briefs are met.
- Attend engagement and company events to ensure an aligned approach across teams, elevating the People Experience presence.
- Work with the survey results to identify opportunities for future engagement and cultural activities, working across the Group to build out action points.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge
- Experience of using Microsoft suite, including Teams and Excel.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Must be organised and methodical with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Our Kingsway Distribution centre operates 24 hrs a day including weekends, therefore we require flexibility to engage across shift patterns as and when required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to network and present.
- Proactive in seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
