Responsibilities

  • Creating a positive team culture through recruiting, training and developing staff. Build a motivated, high-performing team to increase store success.
  • Analyse sales data and financial reports to make informed decisions with the Store Manager, identifying operational and commercial opportunities.
  • Act as the point of contact for colleagues in the manager’s absence.
  • Provide excellent customer service, address inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
  • Help manage day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Support cash management tasks, such as processing transactions and reconciling tills.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding and training new employees.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to colleagues to improve performance.
  • Support management in maintaining colleagues’ schedules to ensure proper coverage and productivity.

Role Objectives And KPI’s

  • Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store’s monthly sales target.
  • Drive KPIs including units, conversion, ATV and UPT.
  • Achieve upselling or cross-selling targets.
  • Maintain a high Net Promoter Score.
  • Ensure stock accuracy during store audits.
  • Ensure all new colleagues complete mandatory training.
  • Ensure employee engagement survey results meet or exceed company benchmarks.
  • Assist in keeping operational costs within the allocated budget.

Skills And Experience

  • Previous supervisory or management experience in a fast-paced retail/customer-facing environment.
  • Passionate about retail with a good understanding of current trends and competitors.
  • Experience coaching and developing individuals.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Experience analysing KPI data to make commercial decisions.
  • Keen eye for detail and commercial thinking. Experience in visual merchandising is advantageous.
