Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented IT Asset Manager to oversee the lifecycle management of the group’s IT assets. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, managing procurement and disposal processes, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and optimising asset utilisation to reduce costs and minimise risks. The position offers the opportunity to implement a new Asset Management Tool and forge processes that support a thriving retail industry.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of IT assets (hardware, software, licences) from procurement through retirement.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of all IT assets using asset‑management tools.
- Collaborate with procurement and vendors to source, track, and receive IT hardware and software.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and manage renewals, audits, and upgrades.
- Develop and enforce asset‑management policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Analyse asset usage and trends to optimise purchases and reduce unnecessary expenditures while forecasting for the group.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate records and documentation.
- Manage end‑of‑life asset disposal processes, ensuring secure data destruction and environmentally responsible recycling.
- Work closely with IT, Finance, Security and other departments to align asset management with business objectives and decommissioning plans.
Qualifications
- Mid‑level experience in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT asset management, IT procurement, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of asset‑management tools and systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Lansweeper, Ivanti, Certero).
- Familiarity with ITIL, SAM (Software Asset Management), and HAM (Hardware Asset Management) best practices.
- Experience with software licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, etc.).
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP)
- Software Asset Management Certification
