Established in 1981, the JD Group is a leading omni-channel retailer of Sports Fashion, Outdoors and Gyms with colleagues working in stores across several retail fascias in many markets around the world.

We want to be the leading global omnichannel retailer in the sports and outdoor industry. To achieve this, we need a Content Assistant to manage our site and app channels across the UK and EU.

Role overview:

The Content Assistant will work closely with various Content Management Systems (CMS) and aid the ideation process of typical pushes and at key trading periods throughout the year. They will need to be competent with Microsoft Office and a wide range of other systems, and approach their work with a creative mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all content is displaying as expected across all JD UK and EU touchpoints – site and app.
  • Ensure timed product launches are executed smoothly and without issue.
  • Ensure customer journey is smooth and effective from all site touch points through to purchase.
  • Assist the wider JD EMEA content team with content briefing.
  • Complete competitor reports across relevant competitors to ensure we are best in class.

Role objectives and KPI’s:

  • Seamless user journeys and consistent content across all channels – leading to improved engagement and conversion rate.
  • Ensure a good bank of content is created for up to 2 weeks in advance.
  • Quick turnaround times of priority jobs – especially around customer-facing trade priorities.
  • Display confidence around all systems used and ability to work on a wide range of tasks without issue.

  • Pro-active with a positive attitude.
  • Able to work quickly and effectively whilst maintaining a high level of quality and managing workloads.
  • Organised and able to manage own workflow.
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas to line manager and other team members.

This is an entry-level position, and any experience is desirable. Typically, stronger candidates possess a university degree and have their own content-related interests and a passion for sports fashion.
