As an Assistant Manager at JD Sports, you will support the Store Manager in driving results, developing talent, and delivering a premium customer experience. You will motivate the team, guide shop‑floor operations, and ensure the store meets sales targets and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Store Manager with daily store operations to achieve sales targets and core KPIs.
- Lead and guide shop‑floor colleagues, allocating tasks and maintaining JD standards.
- Co‑coach and develop staff, providing real‑time feedback and reinforcing expectations.
- Maintain presentation, pricing accuracy, tidy displays and a safe environment.
- Carry out operational duties such as cash handling, till checks, delivery processing, stock audits and opening/closing routines.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous retail management or supervisory experience (e.g., Assistant Store Manager, Supervisor).
- Strong leadership skills with ability to guide, develop and motivate staff.
- Ability to interpret KPI and sales data to support commercial decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of driving sales performance and achieving KPIs.
