Role overview
We are seeking a candidate that will be responsible for ensuring the completion of all tasks by supporting the Senior Security Supervisor in contributing to the safe working environment, preventing loss/damage to company property and maintaining the safety of our teams.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all security policies are adhered to, providing guidance where necessary
- Regular patrolling of the site to prevent unauthorised access and prevent the appropriation of both employee and company property
- Adhere to all company policies and ensure you are working within health and safety guidelines
- Search staff in accordance with current procedures/policies
- Be professional and courteous at all times
- Ensure staff/contractors/visitors are booked in correctly and relevant parties informed
- Ensure all equipment is booked in/out
- Book supplier’s vehicles in and ensure all vehicles are sealed on arrival/departure
- Support the JD SOC in dealing with incidents/alarms as per the policy
- Any other reasonable activities in line with the needs of the business
Skills and Experience
- Operational knowledge/experience of an alarm receiving
- Experience of working to health and safety requirements
- Basic computer literacy skills
- Able to work under pressure in a busy environment
- Works well as part of a team; supportive of others
- Communicate effectively at all levels
- Respond to issues quickly, positively in a fast paced and changing environment
- Previous experience of working in the security industry and supervisory experience would be an advantage
- Knowledge of common law powers in relation to detaining potential offenders
