Location: Kingsway Distribution Centre

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Manage front of house security/reception area, answering calls, emails, and enquiries.
  • Welcome visitors, contractors, and staff to the site in a courteous manner.
  • Ensure the reception and waiting area remains clean, organised, and professional.
  • Manage visitors and contractors against the booking system, ensuring identification is checked, they sign in, and appropriate access is provided.
  • Ensure strict controls of vehicles permitted to enter the site, are correctly logged, and parking is authorised.
  • Control and issue keys and access cards in line with site policies and procedures.
  • Monitor access control, CCTV, and security systems to prevent unauthorised access.
  • Control entry and exit to the site in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct identification and authorisation checks for staff, visitors, and contractors.
  • Respond appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and fire alarms.
  • Escalate incidents and concerns to the duty Security Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate incident logs, handovers, and security records.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and company data.
  • Review CCTV evidence as necessary to complete site audits as directed by the DC Profit & Asset Protection Manager.
  • Provide operational support to the wider security team across the site when required.
  • Assist with gatehouse duties, patrols, search procedures, and access control during periods of increased operational demand.
  • Complete any ad-hoc tasks as directed by the DC Profit & Asset Protection Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a reception, customer service, or security role.
  • Professional and confident telephone manner.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Willingness to form strong relationships within a team.
  • Full training provided.
