Cyber Project Manager in Bury

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of cybersecurity projects across their full lifecycle.
• Demonstrate proven delivery of cybersecurity projects, including enterprise implementations of DLP, EDR, SIEM, and related security controls.
• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project plans, RAID logs, dependency tracking, and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate internal teams, managed service providers, systems integrators, and third party vendors to achieve project outcomes.
• Ensure projects align with cybersecurity policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies to minimise delivery impact.
• Support the integration of security capabilities into business as usual processes and operating models.
• Provide clear, accurate, and timely status reporting, including milestones, risks, and financials, to senior stakeholders.

Key Skills and Experience

• Strong understanding of cyber security principles, controls, and frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO/IEC 27001).
• Hands on delivery experience of cybersecurity projects, including DLP, EDR, and SIEM implementations.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, PMP).
• Experience using project management and tracking tools (e.g. Jira, MS Project).
• Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and security architectures.
• Proven capability in managing budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Cyber security certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or SANS (desirable).
• Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile).
