The purpose of this role is to provide administration support for the JD buying team, ensuring efficient operations and facilitating the team’s daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Assistant Buyer/Buyer with the day‑to‑day running of the range and samples.
- Ensure post is collected and samples are sent out with correct documentation attached.
- Assist with order amendments and post‑trade actions.
- Compile weekly Competitor Shopping Reports to highlight competitor activity, missed opportunities, and promotional activity using websites, store visits, and magazines.
- Create and maintain product sheets, ensuring accurate information and up‑to‑date images.
- Complete weekly trade admin: compile Best and Worst documents, secure relevant samples with completed product tags, and clear samples after meetings.
- Chase suppliers for press samples and forward to marketing.
- Monitor web lines to ensure intake images appear correctly and promptly on the website.
- Support the Assistant Buyer with information needed for sign‑off presentations (e.g., Top 20, Top 50 documents).
- Take minutes in meetings and distribute them, ensuring timely follow‑up.
- Manage samples for staff sales.
- Track social media channels to stay aware of current and emerging sportswear fashion trends.
- Provide sell‑through information to brands on a weekly basis.
- Run rankings for Top 20 and Top 50 lines from the previous week’s trade.
- Produce trend reports quarterly.
