Role Overview: Being part of Team JD you will be responsible for receiving, unpacking, processing, organising, labelling and storing merchandise. You will assist in maximising store profitability by following all security procedures in regards to store deliveries, while contributing to a successful store team.
As a Store Delivery Assistant you’ll be doing the following:
- Accept and book in store deliveries using delivery systems in place.
- Handle deliveries on a daily basis, maintaining order and tidiness, avoiding damage and preventing stock loss.
- Contribute to the profitability of the retail operation by receiving, handling, and managing the inventory of merchandise and supplies in a timely and organised manner.
- Ensure compliance of stockroom procedures in handling stock and make sure all product is priced correctly.
- Ensure that products are accessible, constantly available, and properly distributed.
- Assist in maintaining standards on the shop floor and replenish stock levels when needed, ensuring the full-size range is on the shop floor where possible.
- Deputise for other staff, work within departments, or carry out other duties as required.
- Represent JD Sports in the most professional manner.
