Role Overview
The Technology Strategy Manager will play a crucial role in executing the Group’s strategic initiatives across our over 3,000 stores in 38 territories, including a significant presence in the UK, Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific, as well as supporting over 200 JD Gyms nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate the tech strategy aligned with the Group’s omnichannel objectives.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment.
- Lead workshops to gather input and build consensus among stakeholders.
- Analyze data to develop business cases and strategic materials.
- Support KPI development and initiative tracking frameworks.
- Create messaging to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Assist in managing the annual budget for the Technology function.
- Contribute to the development of the Technology Roadmap for transformative projects.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven expertise in strategic business and technology planning and execution.
- Strong financial and data analysis skills, with familiarity in financial tools and concepts.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Tableau, or similar analytical tools.
- Knowledge of software development principles, cloud platforms, and web technologies.
- Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Ability to adapt to organizational change and demonstrate emotional intelligence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years in management consultancy or accounting, preferably in Technology, Digital, or IT roles.
- At least 1 year of experience in the Retail or Technology sectors.
