Location: The Sharp Project Manchester

Role Overview: The Videographer will be responsible for delivering world class video content across multiple platforms and channels within the JD Group. Working within a busy studio environment, you will be required to conceptualise, produce, and deliver on budget, on brand video content for all channels. You will collaborate with the full studio team, including Stylists, Photographers, Producers, Motion Graphic Designers, and Editors. Demonstrating your skill with the technical aspects of video production, you will complete tasks with a best practice and deadline driven mentality. You will possess an excellent ability to communicate and articulate project proposals, ensuring buy-in from key stakeholders.

Key Areas Of Responsibility:

  • Produce video content on set and location for multiple projects within the JD Group.
  • Edit and encode video for various channels and platforms.
  • Support the planning and production with Producers for campaign shoots.
  • Consistently maintain high-quality projects in line with business guidelines and creative requirements.
  • Collaboration with team leaders in the studio ensuring the delivery of assets on time and on budget.
  • Thrive on constructive feedback, actively seeking personal and team development opportunities.
  • Conceptualisation from brief to final asset handover.
  • Have a solution driven mindset.
  • Employ a methodical approach to archive management and file organisation.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:

  • Proven experience within a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of camera systems and set ups.
  • A good understanding of lighting design techniques and theory.
  • Strong video editing ability and understanding of multiple software applications.
  • Colour grading knowledge.
  • A solid understanding of file encoding and optimisation.
  • Must be organised and able to manage workloads.
  • Maintain a strong and broad knowledge of fashion content trends.
  • Able to work accurately, effectively, and quickly turn work around whilst maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Able to react to retail in an ever-changing environment.
  • Must be self-motivated and pro-active.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong all round creative portfolio.
  • Desire to develop deep understanding of the nuances associated with individual creative disciplines.
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas to line manager and other team members.
  • Must be passionate for video and have an interest in retail.
