JD Sports is a leading omni-channel retailer of Sports Fashion, Outdoors and Gyms with colleagues working in stores across several retail fascias in many markets around the world. We want to be the leading global omnichannel retailer in the sports and outdoor industry. To achieve this, we seek individuals who are people-led, innovative, and customer-focused, providing operational excellence while identifying new areas of growth.

Working rota: Monday to Friday

Working hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm, 40 hours per week.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Growing and developing a global brand's identity through graphic design.
  • Designing and developing exclusive graphics for men’s, women’s, and kids across multi-product areas.
  • Working on global brands such as Unlike Human, McKenzie, Supply and Demand, Technicals, and Pink Soda.
  • Collaborating closely with the design team to fulfil global briefs.
  • Designing a high standard of graphic assets for own brand ranges.
  • Creation of photographic, AOP, placement, and vector prints.
  • Driving graphic trends with a global outlook.
  • Designing in line with brand DNA and understanding customer profiles.
  • Presenting to the buying team.
  • Briefing graphic execution to the product development team through creation of tech and artwork packs.
  • Attending research trips.
  • Ensuring compliance with the IP process.
  • Collaborating with marketing to create assets for campaigns and launches.
  • Designing in line with critical paths to meet design deadlines.
  • Mentoring and training members of the design team on graphic skills.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe suite is essential.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of PLM systems is an advantage; however, full training is available.
  • 3D Design experience would be an advantage.
  • Experience in graphic design for apparel, specifically streetwear, sportswear, athleisure, and activewear.
  • Technical knowledge of print techniques.
  • Experience creating technical packs including sizing and grading of graphics.
  • Adaptive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
