I'm currently representing a leading investment firm in the search for a Technical Asset Manager to join their Energy Transition division. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team driving the UK's shift to renewable energy, with a focus on solar, wind, energy storage (BESS), and electric transportation technologies.
About the Role
This is a hands-on operational role offering exposure to the fast-evolving UK energy market. The successful candidate will manage technical and operational aspects of a diverse asset portfolio, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee compliance with legal, environmental, and H&S obligations
- Coordinate subcontractors and support ad-hoc projects
- Manage onsite operations and maintenance providers
- Supervise PAC/IAC/FAC processes and ensure portfolio availability
- Analyse and model BESS assets using SCADA systems and market portals
- Conduct site visits and liaise with Technical Advisers
- Collaborate with Asset Managers to optimise performance
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 3–5 years' experience in renewable energy or a related field
- Strong analytical skills and data handling capabilities
- Background in engineering, science, IT, or data science is a plus
- Experience with BESS systems and programming (Python, MySQL) desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
