The Role

They are seeking a highly technical and passionate Technical Asset Manager to join their London‑based team. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the performance and value of their energy storage portfolio, ensuring assets are operating under optimal contractual and technical conditions.

You’ll be joining a small, dynamic asset management team where your technical expertise will be critical. The two other asset managers in the team do not have technical backgrounds, making your engineering insight essential to the success of the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day technical oversight of utility‑scale BESS assets.
• Ensure assets are operating under correct contractual frameworks.
• Collaborate with outsourced O&M contractors and external starter system providers.
• Support portfolio optimisation and performance analysis.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring within the team.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of technical experience in utility‑scale BESS.
• Engineering background is essential.
• Proven ability to analyse and interpret technical data related to energy storage systems.
• Comfortable working in a pressure‑intensive environment with high expectations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across commercial and technical teams.
• Passion for renewable energy and a proactive mindset.
