Our client is a fast-growing infrastructure and energy contractor delivering complex, high‑value engineering projects across the UK. Known for their innovation, technical excellence, and commitment to safety, they operate across grid connections, renewable energy, utilities, and large‑scale civil engineering works.

They partner with major developers, DNOs, and EPCs, providing full turnkey project delivery from design through commissioning. As the organisation continues to expand, they are strengthening their on‑site leadership teams with experienced Site Managers who can drive high‑quality, safe and efficient project execution.

The Site Manager will oversee day‑to‑day operations across electrical, civil, or infrastructure sites, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required standards. You’ll coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, ensure compliance, and act as the on‑site lead for all operational activity.

This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership experience on grid, utilities, substations, HV/LV works, renewable energy, or major infrastructure projects.

  • Manage daily site operations, ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with project specifications.
  • Lead, coordinate, and oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and on‑site personnel.
  • Monitor progress against programme, identifying risks, delays, or issues early.
  • Maintain site documentation including RAMS, permits, reports, and quality records.
  • Act as the primary site interface for clients, project managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Enforce company and project-specific safety procedures at all times.
  • Support commissioning activities and ensure smooth handover to client teams.
  • Champion continuous improvement and a culture of quality and safety.

Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction, energy, utilities, grid, or infrastructure sectors.

  • Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations and construction / electrical safety standards.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and leading teams in fast‑paced environments.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project plans.
  • Experience with HV/LV electrical installations, civil works, or substation construction (desirable).
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification required.
  • CSCS card required.
  • Full UK driving licence.
