The company is seeking a Director of Engineering to take on a lead technical role within the organization. This position will involve close collaboration with the Head of Development to assess the technical feasibility of new sites, manage the connection process for new plant projects, and deliver operational assets. • Engage in meaningful technical discussions to challenge proposed technical solutions for connections.
  • Post project award, manage the equipment and project tender process to ensure competitive pricing for equipment supply and that the company obtains fit-for-purpose plants at competitive costs.
  • Implement project procurement, build, and commissioning processes.
  • Manage the effective handover of plants to the operations team, ensuring O&M arrangements are in place, including safety management, for the life of the plant.
  • Act as a Senior Authorised Person under the company’s Safety Rules.
  • Manage, implement, and maintain telecontrol systems for all sites.
Key Attributes/Experience:
  • Experienced power engineer with significant experience in small power projects ranging from £5M to £20M, familiar with distribution and generation issues, including protection.
