We are seeking an experienced Deck Foreman to join an offshore wind array cables installation project operating within 12 nautical miles of the UK coastline. This is a long-term contract opportunity starting in May, offering consistent work on a major offshore renewable energy project. You will be responsible for supervising deck operations and ensuring all lifting, handling, and cable-related activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with project procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate deck crews during array cable installation operations
- Oversee lifting operations, cable handling, and deck activities
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with RAMS, permit-to-work systems, and project HSE requirements
- Act as the primary point of contact between deck crew and offshore management
- Conduct toolbox talks and pre-task briefings
- Monitor deck safety, housekeeping, and equipment readiness
- Support safe vessel operations at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Deck Foreman or senior deck role on offshore array cable installation projects
- Strong background in array cable installation (installation, pull-in, handling, protection)
- Experience working on offshore construction vessels / cable lay vessels
- Solid understanding of offshore HSEQ standards and procedures
Certifications (Essential)
- STCW certification
- BOSIET / FOET
- Medical (OGUK or equivalent)
- GWO certifications
