Seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee a high-value critical power infrastructure project in Canary Wharf, London. This role involves leading the delivery of complex, multi-megawatt electrical packages within a high-availability, mission-critical environment. You will be responsible for driving site progress, managing sub-contractor packages, ensuring strict technical compliance, and guiding the project through to final testing and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Lead the end-to-end execution of major electrical packages (MV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, emergency generation, and containment).
  • Commercial & Sub-Contractor Management: Work closely with Commercial Managers and Quantity Surveyors to control package budgets, manage variations, and oversee sub-contractor performance.
  • Site Leadership & Safety: Drive high standards of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance across all electrical works on site.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for main contractors, client representatives, and engineering design teams.
  • Quality & Commissioning: Ensure all installations strictly adhere to project specifications, QA/QC standards, and Level 1-5 commissioning protocols.

Candidate Requirements

  • Data Centre / Critical Infrastructure Experience: Proven track record delivering complex electrical projects within data centres, financial institutions, or major critical power facilities.
  • Technical Background: Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or holds an equivalent trade background (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3 with extensive site leadership experience).
  • Project Management Skills: Strong commercial awareness, schedule management (Primavera P6/MS Project knowledge), and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Standards & Certifications: Deep understanding of UK electrical regulations (BS 7671), High Voltage/Low Voltage safety standards, and RAMS procedures.
  • Right to Work: Valid right to work in the UK.
  • Availability: Available for an immediate start.
