Macadams are a well-established family business with over 50 years in the breakdown industry. Due to ever increasing work volumes we are now recruiting for the position of a Roadside Breakdown and Recovery technician.
Responsibilities
- Attend various vehicle breakdown scenarios in one of our specialized service vans with the aim to diagnose and repair the casualty vehicle at the roadside.
- When roadside repair is not possible, assist the customer in selecting the next best solution, usually towing the casualty vehicle with our specialist towing equipment to their home address, a local garage, or a place of safety.
- Liaise with our Operations center to arrange for one of our recovery trucks to attend and assist with the vehicle recovery.
- Contribute to delivering a quality service to major breakdown organizations, their customers, the general public, and local authorities such as the Police and Highways England.
- Complete any required vetting procedures due to the nature of the work undertaken.

- 5 on 3 off patterns
- 10 hour or 12 hour shifts
