About the Role

We're looking for a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our fertility clinic team and play a vital role in delivering safe, compassionate, patient-centred care. You'll be the steady, reassuring presence patients rely on — supporting clinical procedures, maintaining a safe environment, and making sure every person who walks through our doors feels in good hands. This is a hands-on, varied role that sits right at the heart of our clinical team. What You Will Do

  • Prepare and maintain the clinical environment to the highest safety standards before and after patient procedures
  • Assist with a range of fertility procedures including egg collection, embryo transfer, donor insemination, HyCoSy/Aqua scans, endometrial biopsy and cyst aspiration
  • Perform phlebotomy and chaperone patients during scans and clinical appointments (clinic dependant)
  • Communicate with patients with warmth and professionalism via telephone, email and video call
  • Accurately maintain patient records in line with clinic policy and HFEA guidance, ensuring confidentiality at all times
  • Liaise with the administration team to support smooth appointment coordination
  • Take ownership of your own professional development, completing required competencies and maintaining BLS certification

What We Are Looking For

Essential

  • Experience in healthcare setting
  • English language GCSE (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and patient-centred approach
  • Strong administrative and record-keeping skills with solid IT proficiency
  • Ability to manage your own workload effectively, both under direction and autonomously within your scope of practice

Desirable

  • 12 months' experience in a fertility or women's healthcare setting
  • Understanding of audit and quality processes
  • Experience with stock maintenance, ordering and basic equipment management
  • NVQ or Care Certificate qualification
