Role Overview
This role requires a team player with flair and commercial ability, and the skill, energy and determination to help drive and develop the business alongside the General Manager. We are looking for a manager with experience in maintaining and developing standards and reputation, whilst nurturing a growing membership base and team.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operational running of the gym at all times.
- Opening and closing the site when required due to operational hours.
- Expect to work early morning, late weekdays and weekends.
- Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures in the Employee Policy and Company Handbook are adhered to.
- Maintain the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
- Conduct daily, weekly and monthly safety checks, report and chase all defects to ensure the building and equipment are safe.
- Aim to achieve all sales and membership targets.
- Drive and maximise secondary spend revenue.
- Ensure the gym facility is of the highest standard of cleanliness.
- Maintain cleaning outside of contract hours and ensure inβhouse cleaners meet the required standard.
- Enforce uniform standards for all team members and yourself.
- Always deliver outstanding member service.
- Create an environment where the team and contracted personnel enjoy themselves whilst at work.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties, projects or meetings that may be required.
- Be an ambassador of JD Gyms.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in a management position within the leisure or fitness industry.
- Experience driving sales and coordinating local marketing activity.
- Experience as an Assistant Manager, Fitness Manager or similar operational function.
- Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification or higher.
- Inspirational leadership and passion for customer service.
