Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operational running of the gym at all times.
- Opening and closing the site when required due to operational hours of the business.
- Expectation to work early in the morning, late weekdays, and weekends.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
- Responsible for adhering to and maintaining the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks.
- Report and chase all defects, to ensure the building and its equipment is safe to use.
- Work towards and aim to achieve all sales and membership targets that are set.
- Drive and maximise secondary spend revenue.
- Ensure the whole of the gym facility is of the highest standard of cleanliness.
- Maintain cleaning outside of contract hours.
- Ensure the in‑house cleaners (General Assistant) are cleaning to the highest standard.
- Ensure uniform standards are being adhered to by all team members and yourself.
- Always deliver outstanding member service.
- Help create an environment where the team and contracted personnel enjoy themselves whilst at work.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties, projects or meetings that may be required.
- Always be an ambassador of JD Gyms.
Skills and Experience
- Experience, ideally in a management position within a leisure related industry.
- Passion for customer service and inspirational leadership in the way they manage.
- Qualification to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
- Experience in driving sales and helping to co‑ordinate local marketing activity as well as managing a successful team.
- Ideally experience as an Assistant Manager overseeing all business areas within a leisure facility, or substantial experience as a Fitness Manager or other similar operational function.
