Role Overview
This role requires a team player with flair and commercial ability, as well as the skill, energy, and determination to help drive and develop the business alongside the General Manager. We are looking for a manager with experience in maintaining and developing standards and reputation while nurturing a growing membership base and team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook.
- Maintain the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks.
- Report and chase all defects to ensure the building and its equipment are safe to use.
- Recruit and manage a team of employed Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to ensure operational cover.
- Hold regular team meetings to aid development and keep everyone updated.
- Work towards and aim to achieve all sales and membership targets.
- Drive and maximize secondary spending revenue.
- Ensure the gym facility is of the highest standard of cleanliness.
- Manage the weekly banking process to minimize wastage and variance, maximizing profit.
- Ensure uniform standards are adhered to by all team members.
- Deliver outstanding member service.
- Create an enjoyable work environment for the team.
- Be an ambassador of JD Gyms.
Skills And Experience
- Proven and successful track record of management experience within a leisure-related industry.
- Passionate about customer service and an inspirational leader.
- Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
- Proven track record in driving sales and coordinating local marketing activity.
- Experience as an Assistant Manager or substantial experience as a Fitness Manager or similar operational function.
