Role overview:
This role requires a team player with flair and commercial ability, and the skill, energy, and determination to help drive and develop the business alongside the General Manager.
We are looking for a manager with experience in maintaining and developing standards and reputation, whilst nurturing a growing membership base and team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the operational running of the gym at all times. Opening and closing the site when required due to operational hours of the business.
- Expect to work early mornings, late weekdays, and weekends.
- Ensure all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
- Responsible for adhering to and maintaining the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks. Report and chase all defects to ensure the building and its equipment are safe to use.
- Work towards and aim to achieve all sales and membership targets that are set.
- Drive and maximise secondary spend revenue.
- Ensure the entire gym facility is of the highest standard of cleanliness. Maintain outside of contracted cleaning hours.
- Ensure in-house cleaners (General Assistant) maintain high cleaning standards.
- Ensure uniform standards are being adhered to by all team members and yourself.
- Deliver outstanding member service at all times.
- Create an environment where the team and contracted personnel enjoy their work.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties/projects/meetings as required.
- Always be an ambassador of JD Gyms.
Skills and Experience:
- Must have management experience within a leisure-related industry.
- Passionate about customer service and an inspirational leader in management.
- Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
- Experience in driving sales, coordinating local marketing, and managing a successful team.
- Ideally experience as an Assistant Manager overseeing all business areas within a leisure facility or substantial experience as a Fitness Manager or similar role.
