Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Represent the Buying function on relevant fascia and category
- Attend all appointments, including selection and editing of product
- Attend all product launches throughout the year as specified
- Attend all relevant trade shows
- Analyze and review previous weeks sales with the merchandising department to propose and drive actions for the week ahead
- Negotiate with selected brands re trading terms and conditions
- Be constantly aware of new brands and opportunities to diversify and drive department/category sales
- Negotiate budget and plan within internal teams and external brands
- Negotiate with brands re distribution agreements
- Work independently in a creative and trend‑led environment
- Manage budgets and OTB on in‑season and forward budgets
- Present ranges for sign off with Senior Buyers, Buying Director and Merchandising Director
- Prepare and present performance in trade meetings
- Propose initiatives to assist driving sales in your relevant department

Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed
- Experience of buying sports fashion is advantageous
- Experience of buying branded goods is essential

- Ability to exercise a high degree of analytical and numerical skills
- Fully literate in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Organisational skills are essential
