Role Overview:

The Cyber Project Manager is responsible for the successful end‑to‑end delivery of cybersecurity initiatives across the organisation. The role requires proven experience delivering complex cyber projects, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions, while building strong, trusted relationships with business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of cybersecurity projects across their full lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate proven delivery of cybersecurity projects, including enterprise implementations of DLP, EDR, SIEM, and related security controls.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project plans, RAID logs, dependency tracking, and stakeholder communications.
  • Coordinate internal teams, managed service providers, systems integrators, and third‑party vendors to achieve project outcomes.
  • Ensure projects align with cybersecurity policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies to minimise delivery impact.
  • Support the integration of security capabilities into business‑as‑usual processes and operating models.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and timely status reporting, including milestones, risks, and financials, to senior stakeholders.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles, controls, and frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO/IEC 27001).
  • Hands‑on delivery experience of cybersecurity projects, including DLP, EDR, and SIEM implementations.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, PMP).
  • Experience using project management and tracking tools (e.g. Jira, MS Project).
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and security architectures.
  • Proven capability in managing budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Cyber security certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or SANS (desirable).
  • Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile).
