Role Description – Flagship Profit Protection Manager
PURPOSE
To maximise profitability in the business by protecting all company assets which includes personnel, buildings, stock, and costs. To focus on failing areas of loss and compliance to ensure the stores KPI’s are being met. To ensure all core department values are upheld by all personnel within the stores.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To maintain a highly visible role in your designated stores.
- To maintain an up to date knowledge of local criminal offenders.
- To attend local crime briefings and partnership meetings to gather and share intelligence and data.
- To be always vigilant on the shop floor observing any instances of theft or suspected theft.
- To challenge and process shoplifters in line with the correct company procedures.
- To maintain an up to date knowledge of company CCTV systems and how to operate it.
- To report all incidents on the company’s incident reporting platform.
- To raise and follow up on any security related maintenance works needed in store.
- To maintain a working sterile standard of the CCTV / Security Office control room which also complies with GDPR.
- Work as the stores lead in incident management.
- To provide data and analysis of key areas of shrinkage in the stores and present this to profit protection and retail management.
- To supervise, train and mentor the stores external security guarding platform and liaise with the third-party guarding management team.
- To manage guarding schedules and maintain an accurate log of timekeeping.
- To periodically review, update and amend access control functions on the Paxton system to protect all assets which includes staff safety.
- To conduct security/operational/compliance checklists and provide feedback to managers with an emphasis on how compliance correlates to loss.
- To support and train managers and other store personnel on profit protection and operational-related issues and give training and guidance as necessary.
- To identify compliance and operational failures in store and retrain staff when necessary.
- To attend and help manage any launch events completing the required risk assessments.
- To have in-depth knowledge of the store’s shrinkage and be able to carry out short and long term projects to reduce this loss in conjunction with PP and the retail team.
- To report daily to the stores management team with any profit protection-related issues.
- To ensure the adequate protection of company property which includes buildings and stock and make any recommendations considered appropriate to the Company.
- To maintain an up to date knowledge of relative Criminal Law and HR guidelines and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency in role.
- To ensure stores are compliant with company procedures and ensure feedback is given where necessary.
- To attend courts or tribunals as required and prepare written statements and reports as necessary.
- To install and assist with the installation of covert/overt CCTV systems if required.
- To attend and provide a profit protection presence for any VIP events and complete all required risk assessments.
- To ensure all security related equipment supplied to yourself and to the stores are carefully maintained and utilised to the full.
- To prioritise workload, ensuring that all reports, investigations, and projects are completed within the deadlines set.
- To liaise with outside Investigation Agencies including the Police as necessary.
- To operate total discretion and confidentiality in respect of all duties performed and information gained during your employment.
- To complete any other ad hoc tasks as set by the Territory Profit Protection Manager or Area Profit Protection Manager.
