JD.com, a leading global e-commerce platform, is expanding its operations in the UK. Our new warehouse in Luton offers a vibrant and dynamic work environment, where you’ll have the opportunity to grow alongside us as we establish state-of-the-art logistics and fulfillment operations.
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Warehouse Supervisors to join our team. Depending on your background, you will manage either outbound operations or pick and pack functions in our new warehouse. You will be instrumental in setting up processes, managing teams, and ensuring smooth daily operations while maintaining JD.com’s high standards of efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
General Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) tailored to the assigned function (outbound or pick and pack).
- Train, motivate, and lead warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline warehouse operations and improve performance metrics.
For Outbound Function:
- Plan and monitor dispatch schedules to meet delivery timelines.
- Manage inventory accuracy and outbound load processes.
- Coordinate with transportation teams to ensure smooth handover of parcels.
For Pick and Pack Function:
- Optimize pick and pack workflows to enhance speed and accuracy.
- Ensure packaging meets customer and company requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels to support efficient order fulfillment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, with a focus on either outbound or pick and pack functions.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Prior experience in setting up or scaling warehouse operations is highly desirable.
