JD Logistics is a leading integrated supply chain and logistics provider in China, known for its advanced technology, nationwide delivery network, and expertise in managing large-scale e-commerce and retail logistics operations. We are growing ambitiously in the UK and EU region.
We are looking for a proactive professional to take ownership of warehouse returns management and drive continuous improvement across return handling processes. The role ensures efficient processing of customer and supplier returns, while identifying root causes, reducing inefficiencies, and implementing best practices to optimize reverse logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily returns operations within the warehouse (inbound returns, inspections, repackaging, restocking, or disposal).
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of returned goods according to company policies and quality standards.
- Investigate recurring issues and analyze return reasons (e.g., damages, incorrect shipments, product defects).
- Collaborate with customer service, quality, and procurement teams to improve return policies and reduce return rates.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce handling time, optimize space utilization, and minimize financial losses.
- Support system enhancements (ERP/WMS) for better tracking and reporting of return data.
- Train and guide warehouse staff on return procedures and quality checks.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements for product disposal and recycling.
- Prepare regular reports for management with actionable insights and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in warehouse operations, reverse logistics, or returns management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with WMS/ERP systems and proficiency in Excel/BI tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally (warehouse, customer service, suppliers).
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
Preferred
- Experience with e-commerce or retail returns.
- Understanding of product refurbishment, recycling, or secondary sales channels.
- Ability to manage change and lead improvement initiatives.
