About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for building a healthy, trusted, and scalable marketplace ecosystem by developing governance strategies, policies, and operational frameworks across the entire seller lifecycle. Working closely with Product, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and regional business teams, you'll play a key role in supporting Joybuy's continued expansion across Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall marketplace governance strategy, building a trusted, healthy, and sustainable marketplace ecosystem that supports long-term business growth.
  • Design and continuously optimize end-to-end governance frameworks covering the entire seller lifecycle, including seller onboarding, product quality, transactions, fulfillment, after-sales, and policy enforcement.
  • Develop governance policies and operational strategies across merchant management, product quality, pricing, fulfillment performance, customer experience, and seller compliance to improve overall marketplace quality.
  • Establish governance mechanisms to proactively identify, monitor, and mitigate marketplace risks, including fraud, abusive behaviors, policy violations, counterfeit products, and low-quality supply.
  • Build a data-driven governance framework by defining governance KPIs, monitoring marketplace health, and continuously optimizing governance strategies based on business performance and customer insights.
  • Research global marketplace governance best practices and continuously evolve governance frameworks to support business growth while meeting local market and regulatory requirements across Europe.
  • Partner closely with Product, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and regional business teams to drive key governance initiatives and improve operational excellence.
  • Balance business growth, seller success, customer experience, and risk management to ensure the long-term health and sustainability of the marketplace ecosystem.
  • Build and lead a high-performing governance team, developing governance methodologies, best practices, and organizational capabilities to support international business growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • 8+ years of experience in Marketplace Governance, Marketplace Operations, Seller Operations, Trust & Safety, Risk Management, or related functions within a large-scale e-commerce platform.
  • Strong understanding of marketplace business models, with hands-on experience in seller governance, product governance, platform operations, or marketplace ecosystem management.
  • Experience with leading e-commerce marketplaces is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into governance strategies and operational improvements.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across Product, Operations, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, and Business teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to bridge Chinese and European business practices and drive effective collaboration across global teams.
  • Fluent in English. Mandarin is a plus.
